The Department of Public Works begins removing grass curbside starting the first Tuesday in May through the second week of October. After that week, grass can be set out with leaf piles for co-collection.
Grass clippings must be bagged in biodegradable bags for pick-up. Plastic bags are not permissible. Any grass placed in the street that isn’t in a biodegradable bag will receive a violation letter from DPW.
Clark Township no longer distributes free bags to residents.
If you should have questions on grass pick-ups you can email DPW or call them directly at 732-428-8402.
The Department of Public Works suggests that residents consider mulching their grass as a way to a healthier lawn. Grass recycling is simple, serves as natural fertilizer and conserves water. Read more about the benefits of mulching grass today.
